# 芽记 vs Baoshiji

The clearest difference is update cadence: Baoshiji at every 9 days against 芽记's every 3 weeks. Baoshiji also leads on iOS requirement (15.2 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 芽记 sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $29.99 per year and Baoshiji sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

芽记 ships an update every 3 weeks, Baoshiji every 9 days. Both last shipped on October 15, 2026.
