# Anchor vs FlashRead

The clearest difference is update cadence: FlashRead at every 2 weeks against Anchor's monthly. Anchor's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Anchor sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and FlashRead sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Anchor ships an update monthly, FlashRead every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
