# ScanStudy vs Flashwise

The clearest difference is update cadence: ScanStudy at every 2 days against Flashwise's every 2 weeks. Flashwise's advantage is iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ScanStudy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Flashwise sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ScanStudy ships an update every 2 days, Flashwise every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
