# Faster vs SmartScroll

The clearest difference is rating: SmartScroll at 5.0 against Faster's 1.0. SmartScroll also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (14 vs 1). Faster's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SmartScroll sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Faster asks for nothing beyond the download.

SmartScroll holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SmartScroll has 14 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Faster ships an update every 2 months, SmartScroll every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
