# Avatar Maker vs OC Avatar Maker

The clearest difference is rating: OC Avatar Maker at 4.4 against Avatar Maker's 2.3. Avatar Maker's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and chart position (#134 vs unranked). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Avatar Maker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and OC Avatar Maker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

OC Avatar Maker holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Avatar Maker has 506 ratings behind it against 57, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of Avatar Maker's written reviews are positive against 23% of OC Avatar Maker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
