# Untangle vs BrainDump AI

The clearest difference is rating: BrainDump AI at 5.0 against Untangle's 4.8. BrainDump AI also leads on device support (5 vs 3). Untangle's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Untangle sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and BrainDump AI sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BrainDump AI holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Untangle has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Untangle ships an update every 8 days, BrainDump AI every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on September 22, 2026 and September 20, 2026 respectively.
