# Obius vs Root

The clearest difference is update cadence: Root at every 3 days against Obius's weekly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Obius sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Root sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Obius ships an update weekly, Root every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
