# Trace vs Brickday

The clearest difference is ads: Brickday at none against Trace's shown. Brickday also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.1). Trace's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Trace ships an update every 2 weeks, Brickday every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
