# Contacts vs Shift

The clearest difference is update cadence: Contacts at every 2 days against Shift's fortnightly. Contacts also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Contacts sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Shift sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Contacts ships an update every 2 days, Shift fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
