# suntime. vs ASCENSION

The clearest difference is rating: suntime. at 5.0 against ASCENSION's 4.3. suntime. also leads on ads (none vs shown) and device support (3 vs 1). ASCENSION's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks) and ratings volume (13 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. suntime. sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and ASCENSION sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

suntime. holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ASCENSION has 13 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

suntime. ships an update every 2 weeks, ASCENSION every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
