# GainLogger vs Simple Cal

The clearest difference is update cadence: GainLogger at every 5 days against Simple Cal's every 11 days. GainLogger also leads on device support (3 vs 1). Simple Cal's advantage is ratings volume (6 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GainLogger sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Simple Cal sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
