# ValidTill vs Blackout Mode

The clearest difference is update cadence: Blackout Mode at daily against ValidTill's every 3 weeks. Blackout Mode also leads on ratings volume (7 vs 1). ValidTill's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ValidTill sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Blackout Mode sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ValidTill ships an update every 3 weeks, Blackout Mode daily. The most recent releases landed on September 12, 2026 and August 22, 2026 respectively.
