# Screen Time Control vs SimAlive

The clearest difference is update cadence: Screen Time Control at every 3 days against SimAlive's weekly. SimAlive's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Screen Time Control sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year and SimAlive sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Screen Time Control ships an update every 3 days, SimAlive weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
