# Shyrm vs FirstDrop Rain Radar

The clearest difference is ads: Shyrm at none against FirstDrop Rain Radar's shown. FirstDrop Rain Radar's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shyrm sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and FirstDrop Rain Radar sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shyrm ships an update fortnightly, FirstDrop Rain Radar every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
