# Scientific Calculator fx vs Groundfall

The clearest difference is update cadence: Scientific Calculator fx at every 2 days against Groundfall's every 2 months. Scientific Calculator fx also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (7 vs 1). Groundfall's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scientific Calculator fx sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Groundfall sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.1 for Scientific Calculator fx against 3.0 for Groundfall. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scientific Calculator fx has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Scientific Calculator fx ships an update every 2 days, Groundfall every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
