# RoutineXP vs HERO

The clearest difference is update cadence: HERO at fortnightly against RoutineXP's every 4 months. HERO also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RoutineXP sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month and HERO sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
