# RoutineXP vs SkillTrees

The clearest difference is ads: RoutineXP at none against SkillTrees's shown. SkillTrees's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 4 months) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RoutineXP sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month and SkillTrees sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RoutineXP ships an update every 4 months, SkillTrees every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
