# RoutineXP vs Handoff

The clearest difference is ads: RoutineXP at none against Handoff's shown. Handoff's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RoutineXP sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month and Handoff sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RoutineXP ships an update every 4 months, Handoff fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
