# BreadCrumb vs Shimpo

The clearest difference is rating: BreadCrumb at 5.0 against Shimpo's 3.4. BreadCrumb also leads on ads (none vs shown). Shimpo's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (15 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BreadCrumb sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Shimpo sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BreadCrumb holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shimpo has 15 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BreadCrumb ships an update every 2 months, Shimpo every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
