# Pre vs Etiquette Trainer

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Pre at none against Etiquette Trainer's 2. Pre also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1). Etiquette Trainer's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Etiquette Trainer sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Pre asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Pre against 5.0 for Etiquette Trainer. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pre has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Pre ships an update every 3 weeks, Etiquette Trainer every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
