# CalcKit vs SMS Forwarder

The clearest difference is ads: CalcKit at none against SMS Forwarder's shown. CalcKit also leads on ratings volume (102 vs 15). SMS Forwarder's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and chart position (#39 vs unranked). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CalcKit sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per 7 days and SMS Forwarder sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for CalcKit against 4.7 for SMS Forwarder. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CalcKit has 102 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CalcKit ships an update every 3 weeks, SMS Forwarder weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
