# Device Kit vs SideTVs

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Device Kit at 87 against SideTVs's 1. Device Kit also leads on update cadence (every 11 days vs monthly). SideTVs's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 79%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Device Kit sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and SideTVs sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Device Kit against 5.0 for SideTVs. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Device Kit has 87 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 79% of Device Kit's written reviews are positive against 100% of SideTVs's.

Device Kit ships an update every 11 days, SideTVs monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
