# Device Kit vs App Folder Launcher WidgetLoft

The clearest difference is monetization model: App Folder Launcher WidgetLoft at free against Device Kit's freemium. App Folder Launcher WidgetLoft also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 11 days). Device Kit's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.6) and ratings volume (87 vs 29). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Device Kit sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and App Folder Launcher WidgetLoft sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Device Kit holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 87 and 29 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of Device Kit's written reviews are positive against 86% of App Folder Launcher WidgetLoft's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Device Kit ships an update every 11 days, App Folder Launcher WidgetLoft every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
