# IPTV Smart Player vs Bitflinger TV

The clearest difference is monetization model: IPTV Smart Player at freemium against Bitflinger TV's subscription. IPTV Smart Player also leads on ratings volume (37 vs 2). Bitflinger TV's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IPTV Smart Player sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Bitflinger TV sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bitflinger TV holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IPTV Smart Player has 37 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

IPTV Smart Player ships an update every 8 days, Bitflinger TV weekly. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
