# eoASSIST vs The 8 Protocol

The clearest difference is update cadence: The 8 Protocol at every 2 days against eoASSIST's fortnightly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. eoASSIST sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $24.99 per year and The 8 Protocol sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

eoASSIST ships an update fortnightly, The 8 Protocol every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
