# avec. vs OtherHalf

The clearest difference is ads: avec. at none against OtherHalf's shown. avec. also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. avec. sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and OtherHalf sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for avec. against 5.0 for OtherHalf. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: avec. has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

avec. ships an update every 3 days, OtherHalf fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
