# Simple Notes vs Skew

The clearest difference is update cadence: Skew at every 10 days against Simple Notes's monthly. Simple Notes's advantage is iOS requirement (17.6 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simple Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Skew sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Simple Notes ships an update monthly, Skew every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
