# 光遇相册 vs Watermelon Backup

The clearest difference is update cadence: Watermelon Backup at every 2 days against 光遇相册's every 2 weeks. Watermelon Backup also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.3). 光遇相册's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 光遇相册 sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Watermelon Backup sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Watermelon Backup holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 14 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of 光遇相册's written reviews are positive against 97% of Watermelon Backup's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

光遇相册 ships an update every 2 weeks, Watermelon Backup every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
