# The Simplest Calorie Tracker vs Last Next!

The clearest difference is update cadence: Last Next! at every 2 days against The Simplest Calorie Tracker's fortnightly. The Simplest Calorie Tracker's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (61 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Simplest Calorie Tracker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Last Next! sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Last Next! holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Simplest Calorie Tracker has 61 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 92% of The Simplest Calorie Tracker's written reviews are positive against 100% of Last Next!'s.

The Simplest Calorie Tracker ships an update fortnightly, Last Next! every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
