# TerraNotes vs Map Note

The clearest difference is ads: TerraNotes at none against Map Note's shown. TerraNotes also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). Map Note's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TerraNotes sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Map Note sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
