# Calandr vs Flipnotes

The clearest difference is update cadence: Calandr at every 5 days against Flipnotes's every 2 weeks. Flipnotes's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Calandr sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month and Flipnotes sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Calandr ships an update every 5 days, Flipnotes every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
