# Nova vs Scribelet

The clearest difference is ads: Scribelet at none against Nova's shown. Scribelet also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nova sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Scribelet sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nova ships an update every 3 weeks, Scribelet every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
