# Nova vs Kess

The clearest difference is ads: Kess at none against Nova's shown. Kess also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). Nova's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nova sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Kess sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nova ships an update every 3 weeks, Kess every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
