# Formula App Widget vs Apex

The clearest difference is update cadence: Formula App Widget at every 2 days against Apex's every 3 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Formula App Widget sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per year and Apex sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Formula App Widget ships an update every 2 days, Apex every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 15, 2026.
