# rivr+ vs RWR

The clearest difference is ads: RWR at none against rivr+'s shown. RWR also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks) and ratings volume (10 vs 1). rivr+'s advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. rivr+ sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and RWR sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $29.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for rivr+ against 5.0 for RWR. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RWR has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

rivr+ ships an update every 2 weeks, RWR every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
