# PicSize vs Bare

The clearest difference is update cadence: Bare at every 8 days against PicSize's monthly. PicSize's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PicSize sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Bare sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PicSize ships an update monthly, Bare every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on September 26, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
