# D Media Player vs StreamSG

The clearest difference is update cadence: D Media Player at every 8 days against StreamSG's every 2 months. StreamSG's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. D Media Player sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and StreamSG sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

D Media Player ships an update every 8 days, StreamSG every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
