# Smartly Ai vs 9xchat

The clearest difference is update cadence: 9xchat at weekly against Smartly Ai's every 2 weeks. 9xchat also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Smartly Ai sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.00 per month and 9xchat sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Smartly Ai ships an update every 2 weeks, 9xchat weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
