# StrokesIQ vs Scratch

The clearest difference is update cadence: StrokesIQ at every 11 days against Scratch's every 3 weeks. StrokesIQ also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StrokesIQ sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Scratch sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StrokesIQ ships an update every 11 days, Scratch every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
