# Apex vs DayCast

The clearest difference is update cadence: DayCast at every 6 days against Apex's fortnightly. DayCast also leads on device support (4 vs 2). Apex's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Apex sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and DayCast sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Apex ships an update fortnightly, DayCast every 6 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
