# Whet vs SkillSpark

The clearest difference is rating: SkillSpark at 5.0 against Whet's 4.8. Whet's advantage is ratings volume (6 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Whet sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and SkillSpark sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SkillSpark holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Whet has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Whet ships an update weekly, SkillSpark every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
