# Draftable vs Typecast

The clearest difference is rating: Typecast at 5.0 against Draftable's 3.9. Draftable's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 9 days). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Draftable sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Typecast sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Typecast holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Draftable has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Draftable ships an update every 3 days, Typecast every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
