# Kex vs TermIO

The clearest difference is ads: TermIO at none against Kex's shown. Kex's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kex sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and TermIO sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
