# Beeper vs ChimeSet

The clearest difference is update cadence: ChimeSet at every 8 days against Beeper's every 3 weeks. ChimeSet also leads on iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Beeper sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ChimeSet sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Beeper ships an update every 3 weeks, ChimeSet every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
