# NoteTube vs Thesis

The clearest difference is update cadence: Thesis at every 3 days against NoteTube's every 6 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NoteTube sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Thesis sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NoteTube ships an update every 6 weeks, Thesis every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
