# LazerLoop vs Color Gem!

The clearest difference is update cadence: Color Gem! at every 2 weeks against LazerLoop's every 6 weeks. Color Gem! also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LazerLoop sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Color Gem! sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LazerLoop ships an update every 6 weeks, Color Gem! every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 8, 2026 and September 15, 2026 respectively.
