# Active Notes vs WishNote

The clearest difference is update cadence: WishNote at fortnightly against Active Notes's monthly. Active Notes's advantage is iOS requirement (18.1 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Active Notes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and WishNote sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Active Notes ships an update monthly, WishNote fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on June 27, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
