# Stepout vs Commit

The clearest difference is ads: Stepout at none against Commit's shown. Commit's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stepout sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Commit sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Stepout ships an update fortnightly, Commit every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
