# Smilo vs OutTime

Smilo and OutTime both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of OutTime's written reviews are positive against 38% of Smilo's. OutTime also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). Smilo's advantage is ratings volume (46 vs 7). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Smilo sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and OutTime sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Smilo against 4.4 for OutTime. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smilo has 46 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 38% of Smilo's written reviews are positive against 100% of OutTime's.

Smilo ships an update every 3 weeks, OutTime weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
