# Dual Camera Recorder vs Camera DualShot

The clearest difference is rating: Camera DualShot at 5.0 against Dual Camera Recorder's 3.4. Dual Camera Recorder's advantage is monetization model (freemium vs paid) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dual Camera Recorder sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Camera DualShot sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Camera DualShot holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dual Camera Recorder has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
